Cosmetic Styling for Urban Decay Cosmetics involved simple futuristic sets. Up first, a stylized product photo of a range of eyeshadows shot on a mirrored backdrop. I placed the eyeshadows in a grid pattern and Katie Thompson, the photographer, used some tricks to create the blurred effects on the edge of the photo.

For their new eyeshadow compact, I floated all the elements from the photo via some styling tricks. I like how the eyeshadows seem to dance out of the palette.

For the swatches for this particular palette, the client wanted leaf shape swatches versus rectangular swatches.

Finally, for their new moondust eyeshadow, we blasted off to the surface of the moon using a common baking ingredient, flour mixed with glitter, for the surface.
