For this flat lay product styling shoot Day Designer really wanted to use the theme of the covers to drive the prop selection and styling. To do so, I sourced vintage and retro props accents from Otis and Pearl and antique stores. Additional items on the prop list included fresh and dried floral and the cutest mini oranges I’ve ever seen from Ojai Farmers Market. All photos were captured by Kris Sun for Day Designer.

For the “Chic” cheetah style cover of day runner I used my own vintage mirror and mid-century gold collar necklace. I paired it with a mini trophy filled with clematis fluff and some vintage black and white photos.

For Serenity Tile, on the right, a combination of cut glass was mixed with dried floral for a very “serene” feel.

Fresh squeezed flat lay product styling was called for this orange blossom inspired cover. I used cara cara oranges and vintage accents including this adorable orange motif pitcher from Otis and Pearl. Since this was shot in February and the citrus blossom hadn’t quite started I used snowdrops as a stand-in for the out of season orange blossom.

A mini craft paper rhino for the Enchanted Forest flat lay styling was probably one of my favorite props on set. I mixed in olive wood pieces, velvet and tone and tone mint accents for additional product styling accents.
