Tabletop product styling is one of my favorite types of photo shoots. This is some recent flat lay styling work I did for Day Designer. I painted custom backdrops in the brands colors as well as matching levels to add a little depth to the shots. I used real floral for this shoot (I typically use fake), including lush garden roses, cool tropical foliage, the most stunning delphinium ever, and of course mini pineapples! Photos by Kris Sun for Day Designer.
I also used dried floral for some of the styled flat lay shots like this bunny tail and skeleton fern.
With the help of my lovely assistant Marett, we sourced garden roses to match the cover of the day runner.
I styled the product shots featuring their signature box with a custom painted backdrop and levels in the brand colors to add those sexy, drop shadows.
All the blue flowers in the house for this shot, delphinium, tweedia and nigella for the “perfectly paisley” cover design.
And finally, probably my favorite product shot of the day, ” Palm Beach” styled with monstera and tea leaves, anthurium, and of course my beloved mini pineapples.
