On Sunday I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2010 bridal show. I sat next to Bee and Mrs. Penquin from Weddingbee, and Anne-Marie from Perfect Bound. The dresses in person we’re truly ethereal–floaty–loveliness. The shape for most of the dresses this season was a structure A-line with a very minimal train. Subtle bling was used on several of the dresses and in person, the sparkle effect was to die for.
I love the use of bling in the center of the flowers, the dress was still floaty, but the sparkle reminded of the way snow catches the sunlight in winter.
There was also a lot of ruffle details that created such beautiful movement when the models walked.
I loved this asymmetrical bodice, very modern, and it would be super flattering on a lot of different body types.
I also loved this off the shoulder look, again the layers of fabric just moved so beautifully.
Also, I know the little paisley shaped caplets probably won’t make it to real life, but I still loved them anyway. The models also wore delicate tulle fingerless gloves that I kind of want to wear right now…
