Hi, I’m Kelly. I specialize in prop styling for brand content for commercial clients ranging from formal menswear, to jewelry, to shoes, to furniture, and even for fashion campaigns. Past clients include Men’s Wearhouse, Costco (outdoor patio furniture), Kate Whitcomb (shoes), The Giving Keys (jewelry) and Sacoor Brothers (clothing).
I also specialize in styling editorials for magazines and for photographer’s portfolios. I’ve produced and styled for Flutter Magazine cover stories with Jose Villa and Erich McVey. My work has also appeared on the covers of C Weddings, Rue Magazine and Magnolia Rouge. A food editorial with Coastal Living is forthcoming for October 2017.
In 2008, I founded my business as a then, wedding planner, and at the same time launched my blog, Santa Barbara Chic, a popular wedding and entertaining blog. In 2012, I transitioned to floral design for weddings and started producing exclusive content for my blog ranging from floral recipes, to cocktails, to food. It’s where I honed my skills as a self-taught stylist. Santa Barbara Magazine included my blog in their “Best of Entertaining” list in 2014. Other accolades include: Wedding Blogs 100 list from 2008-13, a top 100 wedding blog in Southern Weddings (2010), top destination wedding blog by Destinations Weddings & Honeymoon (2009). I even met Martha (yes, that one) because of blogging.
I have 16 years of experience in the event industry, 10 years of blogging & entrepreneurial experience, and 7 years of prop styling and floral design. I hold a B.A. in Art History & English from UCSB. I’m based in Santa Barbara, CA and work regularly in Los Angeles. I am available for projects worldwide.
