Hi, I’m Kelly. I’m a prop stylist and creative director for lifestyle brands ranging from apparel, to jewelry, to tabletop, to shoes, to furniture, to luxury resorts. Past clients include Men’s Wearhouse, Costco, San Ysidro Ranch, The Giving Keys, and Sacoor Brothers.
I also produce wedding and lifestyle editorials for magazines and for photographer’s portfolios. I am the former Lifestyle Editor for Flutter Magazine, where I produced a wide range of editorial content from the “Road Trip Honeymoon” to stylish “His & Her” cocktails. I had the honor of styling the magazine’s first national cover featuring Lauren Conrad with photos by Jose Villa. My work has also appeared on the covers of C Weddings, Rue Magazine and Magnolia Rouge and in the pages of Coastal Living.
In 2008, I founded my business as a then, wedding planner, and at the same time launched my blog, Santa Barbara Chic, a popular wedding and entertaining blog. In 2012, I transitioned to floral design for weddings and started producing exclusive content for my blog ranging from floral recipes, to cocktails, to food. It’s where I honed my skills as a self-taught stylist. Santa Barbara Magazine included my blog in their “Best of Entertaining” list in 2014. Other accolades include: Wedding Blogs 100 list from 2008-13, a top 100 wedding blog in Southern Weddings (2010), top destination wedding blog by Destinations Weddings & Honeymoon (2009). I even met Martha (yes, that one) because of blogging.
I have 17 years of experience in the event industry, 10 years of blogging & entrepreneurial experience, and 8 years of prop styling and floral design. I hold a B.A. in Art History & English from UCSB. I work frequently in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara.
