Fashionable: Spanish Vibes at La Purisima Mission with Joel Serrato

Fashion was among my first design obsessions, and so I’m kicking off Monday with a new column: Fashionable. The lovely Joel Serrato was kind enough to photograph me at the stunning La Purisima Mission. Located in Lompoc, in the Santa Ynez Valley, it is the most completely restored mission in California and was founded way back in 1787.

I was inspired by the location and wanted to style a look with “Spanish Vibes” and this white peasant skirt was my jumping off point.

I love a longer skirt for fall, especially as the weather becomes chilly and crisp.

I paired it with a fitted chambray and coral wedges for a pop of color. The vintage collar necklace and bracelet I found at my favorite antique store in Los Alamos, The Depot.

SHOP THE LOOK: white peasant skirt // chambray // shoes // necklace // glasses

How pretty is this mission itself? I love the runner of terra cotta color on the bottom of the walls and the stark simplicity. You can learn more about the mission right here.

And a BIG thank you to Joel Serrato for photographing me…

..and my assistant stylist, Mira! Happy Monday!
